National Alliance of Wound Care Announces
2011 WCC Outstanding Achievement and Scholarship Award Nominations

Glendale Wisconsin January 25, 2011


The National Alliance of Wound Care (NAWC®) today announced thatnominations are now open for the 5th annual WCC OutstandingAchievement and Scholarship Awards. We encourage everyone to nominate an outstandingWCC for each of the award categories and an aspiring WCC for the Scholarshipaward.Nomination forms and instructionsare found on the NAWC website at www.nawccb.org. Entries must be received by July 1,2011. Winners will be notified by August 6, 2011.

The NAWC will present the annual WCCOutstanding Achievement and Scholarship Awards this year during the (WOW) Wildon Wounds Conference at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas September 7-10, 2011. Thecriteria for each award and the WCC Scholarship are listed below:

  • OUTSTANDING RESEARCH IN WOUND CARE

  • OUTSTANDING WORK IN DIABETIC WOUNDS

  • OUTSTANDING WCC OF THE YEAR


WCC Scholarship

We are also seeking nominationsfor the WCC Scholarship. This scholarship will cover the cost of the tuitionfor the WCEI Skin & Wound Management course and the NAWC NationalCertification Exam fee. The scholarship will be awarded to one individual. Theindividual may be nominated by anyone, be a wound care professional aspiring tofurther his/her education in wound care by earning the WCC credential and meetsthe WCC eligibility requirements as set forth by the NAWC.
