On March 19th, the National Alliance of Wound Care and the DC Board of Nursing co-sponsored a one day conference, “Wound Update 2010,” at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Six contact hours were awarded, courtesy of the Board of Nursing, and there was no charge to attendees. Ottamissiah Moore, NAWC Board Member, served as the conference coordinator. NAWC sponsored the breakfast and snacks. Debbie Hecker, NAWC Executive Director, manned the NAWC booth at the vendor fair, along with Mike Grivas of WCEI. Nancy Morgan, WCEI founder and President, was a featured speaker on “Skin Care of the Bariatric Patient”.  Over 100 nurses took advantage of this generous CE offering put on by NAWC and the DC BON.
